Collection: Phaetus Filament

Phaetus Engineering-Grade Filament — Official US Reseller

DigMach is an authorized US reseller for Phaetus, stocking their full range of engineering-grade 3D printer filaments and shipping from our Seattle-area warehouse. Whether you need carbon-fiber composites for functional enclosure parts, high-temperature nylon for heat-critical assemblies, or flexible TPU for gaskets and cable management, Phaetus makes materials formulated to outperform standard PLA and PETG.

Phaetus Filament Series Guide

aeWorthy — Everyday Engineering Materials

The aeWorthy series covers the most common engineering filaments: ASA-GF, ABS-GF, PETG-CF, ToughPETG-HF, and ASA-Aero. Glass-fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced variants deliver significantly improved stiffness and dimensional stability versus unreinforced materials — ideal for printer body parts, functional brackets, and VORON enclosure components that need to withstand elevated chamber temperatures.

aeForce — High-Performance Composites

aeForce is Phaetus's performance tier, covering PET-CF, PET-GF, PAHT-GF, and PC/ABS-FR. PAHT-GF (glass-fiber high-temp nylon) is a favourite in the VORON community for parts exposed to high chamber temperatures and mechanical load. PC/ABS-FR adds flame-retardant properties for electronics enclosures. All aeForce materials are formulated for enclosed 3D printers with heated chambers.

aeFlex — Flexible TPU Filaments

The aeFlex line covers TPU95A, TPU78D, and TPU-Aero. TPU95A is a soft, highly flexible 95 Shore A compound suitable for cable chains, feet, and vibration dampening. TPU78D is a semi-rigid 78 Shore D material ideal for durable functional parts. TPU-Aero is Phaetus's lightweight foam-core variant for weight-sensitive applications.

aeCoating — Specialty Surface Materials

NexABS-GF25 is Phaetus's specialty glass-filled ABS with a 25% glass fibre loading, delivering exceptional surface hardness and wear resistance. Suited for tooling components and fixtures requiring smooth, abrasion-resistant surfaces.

aeSupport — Multi-Material Support Filament

aeSupport S-Multi is a dedicated support material designed for multi-material printing. It interfaces cleanly with engineering filaments and breaks away without damaging fine features — a key requirement when printing intricate functional geometries with CF or GF composites.

Why Buy Phaetus Filament from DigMach?

  • Authorized US reseller — authentic Phaetus product with manufacturer backing
  • Ships from Seattle — domestic US fulfilment, no international shipping delays
  • Free shipping on orders $149+ — stock up and save
  • Community-tested — DigMach has been part of the VORON and maker community since 2019
  • Need a hotend for your engineering filaments? Browse our Phaetus hotends

Note on nozzle compatibility: Carbon-fiber and glass-fiber filaments are abrasive and will wear brass nozzles rapidly. Pair your CF/GF filament with a Phaetus hardened steel or silicon carbide nozzles for best results.

Phaetus Filament FAQ

Is this plate compatible with the VORON 2.4r2?

Yes. Mounting holes are drilled and counterbored to VORON 2.4r2 spec for M3 socket head cap screws. See the dimensional drawing (image 4) for the full hole pattern.

What is the difference between this and the Build Plate Kit?

This listing is the aluminum plate only — no heater, no PEI surface, no mounting hardware. The VORON 2.4 Build Plate Kit bundles the plate with a Keenovo silicone AC heater and your choice of PEI print surface. Choose the bare plate if you are replacing a plate you already have, or sourcing the heater separately.

Does this plate work with a PEI spring steel flex sheet?

Yes. The machined top surface is clean and flat, making it a compatible base for any magnetic PEI flex plate system. We sell the Energetic double-sided PEI flex plate separately.

What size do I need for my VORON 2.4?

Match the plate to your VORON build volume: 250x250mm for a 250mm build, 300x300mm for a 300mm build, and 350x350mm for a 350mm build. If you are unsure, check your VORON frame kit spec sheet or the official Voron Design documentation.

Where does this ship from?

All orders ship from our Seattle-area warehouse. Most US orders qualify for free shipping on orders over $149 and typically ship within 1–2 business days. Orders requiring additional handling (such as custom configurations) may take up to 5 business days.
